Reading Notes
God in His wisdom has given both the husband and the wife unique attributes. When they cleave together in marriage, they form something much stronger than either of them separately. Something much stronger and more durable than either could be by themselves. In addition, much to the contrary of what popular culture would have us believe, the family is the basic unit of society. Our culture may not realize this; but you can bet Satan does! If you destroy the family, you destroy society! And if you destroy the roles of wives and husbands you can destroy a family! And if you destroy a society, you destroy the likely hood of people turning to Christ, and that’s Satan’s ultimate goal.

A wife in many ways is the heart of the family. With the support and understanding of her husband a wife warms the home. A wife can take a home from being a structure where people live, to being a home where a family grows. A godly wife who abides in Christ, understands this and through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit she builds her home strong in the Lord. Thereby providing a nurturing place where the entire family can grow in Christ and thrive, in the love of a godly family. We have to remember many of the great leaders in Christianity first learned their faith by a godly mother or grandmother who taught their children the word of God when they were very young. And continued that teaching as a family together, ensuring a godly legacy passed from one generation to the next.
