While We Were Sinners, Christ Died for Us – (Romans 5:6-10)

Bible Verse
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Reading Notes
There is no greater love than God’s love for us! There are no works of man that can compare to God’s love for us! Because while we were dead in our trespasses and sins and without strength to save ourselves God made a way for us. God provided a way of salvation for us. God in His perfect chosen timing sent Jesus. Who while being fully God stepped out of eternity and took on flesh that He could die for us. Jesus loved us so much that while we were still enemies of God, He died for us! And God gave us free will in order that we can freely choose to love Him and accept Jesus.

And by His death Jesus reconciled us to a Holy God. God did what man could not do, that is, He made salvation possible for sinful humanity. Jesus did this to save us from the wrath to come, that by our free will, we could choose to accept Him as our Savior. Dear believer, we are living what the Bible calls the end times. This means the return of Jesus is close at hand as God prepares to pour out His wrath on an unrepentant world in one last attempt to get mankind’s attention, in order that people would turn back toward Him. Jesus has saved us from the judgment to come, therefore we should spread that good news to others who are lost as we once were.
