Daily Bible Verses for 10/8/2016
Bible Verse
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Reading Notes
Sometimes the trials of day to day life can get us down, causing us to forget that we have a Savior and cause us to forget who He really is. The trials of this life can cause us to forget that Jesus, our Lord, our Savior is the very Creator of the universe. He is God and His name is above all names. At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord! He not only saved us from our sins; but He is active today, making intercession for us and through Him we have the strength to persevere. Because of our faith in Jesus, we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with us today, who can give us a more abundant life in Christ. Dear child of God, knowing this to be true and promised by God, how can we fear? How can we not know we are loved by God, and He alone will see us through this fallen world which is at enmity with Him.
Moreover, the Lord can do all of this and more, when we follow His guidance, seeking after Him and not seeking after the things of this world. How often do we put our trust in man or the things of men and seek after what the world tells us we need, when in reality we have Jesus right here beside us? How often do we forget that our Lord never gets weary, never faints, knows the beginning and end of everything, and nothing is impossible for Him? We can get so caught up in following the world we can forget that no one can compare to our God! No one can out think, out act, over power and especially out love our Lord and Savior! Who can give advice to God, who is the Creator of everything! He is there to guide and strengthen us, He will never forsake us and He loves us dearly. All we need to do is remember to talk to Him and follow His guidance through the Holy Spirit. We need to remember before all else fails to seek out Christ Jesus our Lord, before we ever turn to the wisdom of men for answers. Lastly, our greatest goal and the sum of God’s calling on anyone’s life, is to glorify God and tell others of the salvation found in Christ alone through faith alone.
